NYC REACH eClinicalWorks Training Series

NYC REACH is offering a series of trainings to help practice staff become better acquainted with eClinicalWorks (eCW), an electronic health record system. Registration is open to all NYC REACH members but limited to two registrants per practice.

Attendees learn how to use eCW to meet the objectives of the NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program (Meaningful Use), Quality Payment Program, and other quality improvement programs. Attendees also learn about local resources to support quality improvement activities. These trainings have been developed for a variety of skill levels. Read below to determine which trainings best fit your practice needs!

eCW Front Office Essentials I
Friday, February 1, 2019 from 9:30 AM— 4:00 PM
Audience: Novice front office staff
Attendees learn how to: register new patients, schedule appointments, enable patient access to the patient portal, refer patients to another practice, and use the registry to run patient lists.

eCW Clinical Essentials I
Friday, February 8, 2019 from 9:30 PM—4:00 PM
Audience: Intermediate practice staff including medical assistants and clinicians
Attendees learn how to: use progress notes and Clinical Decision Support Services (CDSS), document transition of care, provide patient-specific education, and review test results.

eCW Clinical Essentials II
Friday, February 15, 2019 from 9:30 AM—4:00 PM
Audience: Advanced practice staff including medical assistants and clinicians
Attendees learn how to: use progress notes, flowsheets, CDSS, and the registry (to run patient lists), and create and customize templates.

eCW Clinical Care Support
Friday, February 22, 2019 from 9:30 AM—4:00 PM
Audience: Expert practice staff including medical assistants and clinicians
Attendees learn how to: customize patient portal features, use quality measure reports, generate patient lists, refer patients to another practice, and use the provider2provider feature.

Please note: the content in each training requires different levels of experience with eClinicalWorks, however, there are no prerequisites for attendance to any session.

This training is for staff at NYC REACH member practices that use the electronic health record system eClinicalWorks.

Each session begins after 30 minutes of registration. There will be a one-hour lunch break, lunch is not provided. Light refreshments will be available.
